Hixson & Chattanooga

Make more room for outdoor meals, family time and everyday living with a deck designed around your home.

We install and repair decks for homeowners in Hixson, Chattanooga and surrounding communities. Whether you want a new deck or an addition to the one you already have, we can talk through the space and your priorities. Tell us how you want to use your backyard, from a quiet place to sit to room for entertaining.

For a new deck, we visit your property and measure the area you have in mind. Those measurements help us discuss the size and arrangement of the work. You can also ask us about a staircase, a seating area or a pergola as part of your outdoor project.

If your current deck is faded, splintered or no longer meets your needs, we can discuss repair and improvement options. An addition may give you more usable space without starting with an entirely new layout. Let us know which areas need attention when you call for your free estimate.

We also help with changes that make your outdoor space easier to enjoy. Describe your deck, the access to your yard and the improvements you would like to make. We will review your request with you before you decide how to move forward.

Wayne rebuilt my deck and added a pergola with porch swing. I cannot tell you how happy I am with the quality of work; I will be out here all summer long. He is clearly someone who takes incredible pride in his craft and makes sure all the details are just right. I interviewed several contractors and deck services for this job, and Wayne was the most thorough and fair. Unlike other services which took five minutes to look at the deck (some didn't even come out) and give me an outrageous quote, Wayne took his time to answer all my questions and work within my budget. He was always kind, respectful, and made sure I was completely satisfied with the job. As a new homeowner, I will most definitely be using him again for projects in the future. He's a gem of a person who will be straightforward and fair, which is often hard to come by in contractors. I recommend him to anyone in the Chattanooga area and wish I could give him even more than five stars!

I'm very happy with the work provided by WL Improvement. Wayne was professional and courteous throughout the duration of the project. And the finished work is spectacular. I reached out to WL Improvement for estimates on handrail and porch rail installation that was required to pass a VA inspection while under contract on my home. This was a time sensitive project due to closing on the home the following week. Wayne was able to work this into his schedule and provide immediate service. I am very pleased with the job and would highly recommend this company for your home improvement needs.

Wayne was absolutely incredible! He provided same day service when I was distressed over my Fire Detector Alert System having gone down. Came to me as promised and on time and would not leave me until the job was completed! So dedicated that he stayed over for a long time to make sure that the chirping was over with! Very dedicated pro who is a tremendous person and will do all what it takes to ensure repair. Wayne will be my go to for any future troubles ! Highest recommendation !!!
